The Mathematical and Philosophical Legacy of Alexander Grothendieck

The Centre for Grothendieckian Studies (CSG) is pleased to highlight the publication of The Mathematical and Philosophical Legacy of Alexander Grothendieck, edited by Marco Panza, Daniele C. Struppa, and Jean-Jacques Szczeciniarz, and published by Birkhäuser in the series Chapman Mathematical Notes.

This edited volume brings together contributions from an international group of scholars examining the influence of Alexander Grothendieck’s work across mathematics, logic, and philosophy. Its chapters approach Grothendieck’s legacy from mathematical, historical, and philosophical perspectives, including studies of the development of his ideas and analyses that explore some of his mathematical results. Contributors include Fernando Zalamea, former Coordinator of the CSG; Colin McLarty, CSG Research Associate; and Olivia Caramello, President of the Istituto Grothendieck.

The volume offers a multidisciplinary perspective on Grothendieck’s intellectual legacy and contributes to the ongoing study of his work and its significance across several fields.
