The Centre for Grothendieckian Studies (CSG) is a research centre of the Grothendieck Institute,  with a dedicated mission to honour the memory of Alexander Grothendieck, an influential mathematician, thinker and writer of the 20th century. Through extensive efforts, we strive to enlarge the accessibility of his remarkable scientific and cultural heritage to experts and the general public while disseminating his groundbreaking ideas.

The CSG offers a valuable online resource featuring extensive surveys and catalogues of Grothendieck’s works as well as of modern Grothendieckian scholarship. This dynamic database provides summaries and digital access to a wide range of materials, including catalogues, unpublished works, bibliographic references, editorial projects, transcriptions, ongoing research, events, and much more. Blog with news around Grothendieck, and organization of scientific dissemination events, including a biannual symposium. 

Journal

 

Construction of a biennial journal, the Quaderni del Centro di Studi Grothendieckiani, which will notably publish the Proceedings of the CSG Symposia.

Editorial program

Coordination of editions of unpublished Grothendieck manuscripts, either mathematical, literary, philosophical, ethical or sociological.
